"I Am Responsible For Ronaldo’s Injury"–Ghanaian Witch Doctor, Kwaku Bonsam

Firebrand Ghanaian spiritualist Kwaku
Bonsam says he is responsible for
Portuguese striker Cristiano
Ronaldo’s injury. This news comes
barely days leading up to the World
Cup in Brazil. Bonsam says his aim is
to prevent the Real Madrid striker
from playing against Ghana in the
group stages, and possibly beyond
that.
News broke last week of Ronaldo’s
ailment, triggering a hushed
celebration from Ghanaian soccer fans
who secretly dread the national team
playing the Portuguese team with
Ronaldo in striking position.
A statement issued by the Portuguese
FA on Wednesday, confirmed that the
2008 FIFA Player of The Year was
diagnosed with tendonitis in his left
kneecap area, and is also nursing a
muscle problem in his left thigh.
Tendonitis is an inflammation,
irritation and swelling of tendons, and
even though this is quite a common
condition with athletes, Kwaku
Bonsam claims he is responsible for
that condition, and that no doctor can
cure it until Ghana is clear from
Ronaldo’s reach.
“I said it four months ago, that I will
work on Cristiano Ronaldo seriously
and rule him out of the World Cup, or
at least prevent him from playing
against Ghana, and the best thing I
can do is to keep him out through
injury." he said on the Ghana-based
Angel FM in Kumasi.
"I am very serious about it. Last week,
I went around looking for four dogs
and I got them to be used in
manufacturing a special spirit called
‘Kahwiri Kapam’"he added.
“This injury can never be cured by any
medic, they can never see what is
causing the injury, because it is
spiritual. Today, it is his knee,
tomorrow it is his thigh, next day, and
it is something else.”
Kwaku Bonsam paid a visit to
SaharaTV some months ago while
visiting New York. In that interview he
claimed that some Pastors paid him
visits at his shrine to seek spiritual
help.
Ronaldo missed the 0-0 game with
Greece over the weekend, and is also
likely to miss Portugal’s World Cup
warm-up matches against Mexico,
and Ireland. It is however not clear if
he will recuperate early on time for
the World Cup.
Ghana plays Portugal on June 26 in
Brasilia, in their final Group G match.
Group G comprises Germany, USA,
Portugal and Ghana.

Top 10 Ways To Keep Your Skin Clear

Top 10 Ways To Keep Your Skin Clear
By PositiveMed-Team
Edited By Stephanie Dawson
Your skin can tell many things about you,
how healthy you are, your age, what you eat,
or even how much you drink. It’s important
to take care of your skin and keep it clean.
Here are some natural ways to keep your
skin clear:
1. Mint
Mint contains menthol which has cooling
and cleansing properties. You can apply
mint juice to your face every night before
bed. You can also make a paste of mint
leaves by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
and warm water. Apply this paste all over
your body for beautiful and clear skin.
2. Wash your face
It’s important to keep washing your face
with clean water using a natural cleanser.
This will allow your skin to breathe and keep
it germ-free.
3. Lemon
Lemon works great as a natural exfoliate.
Squeeze a lemon into a bowl and pour on a
cotton ball. Wash your face then apply
soaked cotton ball. Let it dry for 10 minutes
and wash off with cold water. You can dilute
with water if your skin is sensitive.
4. Stay calm
Too much stress increases production of oil
that leads to clogged pores and whiteheads.
Try to keep yourself calm and composed. Do
things that keep you cool and relaxed.
5. Avoid soap and hot water
Washing your skin with hot water and soap
can dry out your sebaceous glands which
makes your skin dry and unhealthy. Sebum
production is necessary to keep your skin
clear and healthy. A natural soap can be
used with lukewarm or cold water only.
6. Diet
Diet plays a vital role in keeping your skin
healthy and clear. Include foods rich in water
in your diet. This will enhance blood
circulation and will nourish your skin cells,
eliminating the waste that your skin cells
generate. Choose fresh vegetables, fruit, and
dark green leafy vegetables. The natural
vitamins, minerals, and fiber in these foods
will help optimize blood circulation.
7. Avoid too much make-up
Try to avoid excessive use of make-up
products on daily basis. These products are
chemical-based and may harm your skin,
even causing rashes. You can try natural
products or other products with less
chemicals.
8. Papaya
Papaya contains the enzyme papain and has
amazing antibacterial and wound healing
abilities. It’s also good for removing dead
skin. Regular application of papaya juice can
help remove freckles and brown spots from
sun exposure.
9. Cucumber
Cucumber has hydrating, nourishing, and
astringent properties which is good for your
skin. The pH of cucumbers is same as our
skin which is why they help restore the skin’s
natural acid mantle. Regular consumption of
cucumbers helps prevent pimples,
blackheads, wrinkles, and dry skin.
10. Boiled cabbage water
Boiled cabbage water has amazing
properties that help treat acne. You can
apply freshly squeezed cabbage juice or you
can eat cabbage leaves and juice.

Boko Haram: Court rejects facial masking for prosecution witnesses

2014 BY ADE ADESOMOJU
A Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday
dismissed an application seeking facial
masking for  prosecution witnesses lined up
to testify in the trial of three suspected
members of the Islamic fundamentalist sect,
Boko Haram.
The accused persons, who are being
prosecuted by the Federal Government for
terrorism charges, are an Islamic scholar and
a lecturer at the Kogi State University, Dr.
Muhammed Yunus, Salami Abdullahi (aka
Asta) and Musa Umar.
The Wednesday’s ruling was a major setback
to the case of the Federal Government, whose
witnesses had insisted they would not appear
in court without an assurance that their
identities would be fully shielded from public
view.
The prosecution counsel, Mr. Ayanfeoluwa
Ogunsina, told Justice Gabriel Kolawole after
the ruling was delivered that he needed to
make consultations before continuing the
case.
“I will have to make consultations if we have
to continue with the case of the prosecution,”
he said.
However, Justice Kolawole rejected
Ogunsina’s request to adjourn the matter till
June 24 so that the prosecution would
complete its consultation before coming to
court.
He insisted that trial would start on June 9
and continue on June 10, 24, 25 and 26 as
earlier scheduled in previous proceedings.
In his ruling on Wednesday, Justice Kolawole
held that the Federal Government’s
application, the second of such seeking
protection for its witnesses, constituted an
abuse of court process.
Apart from dismissing the prayer seeking
facial masking for prosecution witnesses, the
court also dismissed the two other prayers,
asking the court to either set aside or modify
its earlier ruling delivered on April 3, 2014.
The prosecuting counsel, Ogunsina, had filed
the application dated May 2, 2014, arguing
that the earlier ruling of the court, granting a
protection for the witnesses, was not
exhaustive.
