What a Wicked World we Live in!
A Mexican family has been jailed for gouging out the eyes of their
five-year-old relative with a spoon during a satanic ritual to bring
about the end of the world.
Fernando Caleb Alvarado Rios was ordered to close his eyes out of
respect with his mother, grandparents, aunt and uncles as they
danced in a circle and called on Satan to reveal himself.
But when he was too scared to do so, his mother, Maria del Carmen
Garcia Rios, grabbed a spoon and the entire group gouged them
out.
They were caught when neighbours, who had heard loud chanting,
came to investigate and saw the child screaming in pain.
Today, more than two years after the incident in May 2012, a court
has sentenced the group to 30 years each in jail.
The family, from the town of Nezahualcoyotl, believed the ritual
would bring them closer to Satan who could claim them as his own
and save them from a deadly earthquake.
Neighbour, Joaquin Arguello, told the court, that he had always
thought the family were devout and deeply religious, but had not
realised that they were Satanists.
He said: 'We could hear screaming and we were banging on the
door but nobody was answering, then a police patrol came past
and one of the women who was with us ran into the road to flag
it down, and officers forced their way inside.'
Policeman Benet Curiel said that they had witnessed the scene of
horror inside in which the scantily clad Satanists had been hunched
over the screaming boy in the kitchen and that the two women
were covered in blood.
'I asked one of the women what was going on and she told me
her name was Carmen Rios Garcia, and that the boy was her
son.'She identified him as Fernando Caleb Alvarado Rios, and
said he was five years old, and said that she and her sister
Lizbeth had done it.'
She admitted that she had told him repeatedly to close his eyes and
when he had told her 'No, I do not want to close them' she had
ordered the others to help remove his eyes.

Jonathan inaugurates jobs board to address unemployment
Abuja – President Goodluck Jonathan, on Wednesday in Abuja,
inaugurated a Presidential Jobs Board of Nigeria to create jobs for
unemployed Nigerians.
The 31-member board comprising government officials and the private
sector would be headed by Vice President Namadi Sambo.
The board, described by Jonathan as a special purpose vehicle, was
charged with the responsibility of facilitating employment generation
across the country.
He said “no one can deny that jobs are at the centre of economic
revolution. In fact, the problem facing any head of government all over
the world is Job creation.
“Jobs are essential to make our people live well and they are critical to
the promotion of our people’s dignity.
“Jobs enhance self worth and it is a source of personal pride. Indeed, it
is at the heart of national economic and social development.’’
According to the president, the board is carefully constituted to include
key members of the public and the private sector to ensure that it can
draw on the cross expertise of people in government as well as those in
private enterprise.
The president urged Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of
government involved in job training to go further by creating employment
opportunities for their trainees.
Jonathan listed some of such MDAs as the Small and Medium
Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Industrial
Training Fund (ITF) and the National Directorate of Employment (NDE),
among others.
“I have observed over a period that agencies of government are more
interested in training.
“My conviction is that if you train 100 people and none of them is either
self employed or employed by any corporation, that is a total waste.
“You are rather frustrating more people and probably increasing the
number of criminals in the society.
“I always say that if you train a young man as a fitter and he has no job
to do, he or she will use that skill to break into banks, because you have
trained him on how to handle iron and how to handle complicated
locks.’’
According to him, it is better to train 20 and to use the money for the 80
to create employment for the people
instead of training 100 people and none of them gets job.
The President said “it is not just how many people you train, but how
many people you have given employment through that training
programme.’’
Jonathan, who expressed confidence in the ability of the board members
to deliver on their assignment, urged them to take the assignment
seriously.
Responding, Sambo thanked the President for the initiative, which he
said would address the challenge of unemployment in the country.
The vice president said that the committee’s target was to create three
million new jobs for Nigerians in the next 12 months, and pledged the
commitment of the board members to the assignment.
In her remarks, the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Dieziani
Alison-Madueke, said that the President had brought together private
sector financiers and a mix of key public sector players on the board.
Alison-Madueke said that in the last three years, the petroleum ministry
focused on providing Nigerians with the tools they needed to secure jobs
in the oil and gas sector, which she said was mystified before now.
She said “we have brought in Nigeria content so strongly that at no time
in Nigeria’s history have you seen this number of Nigerians across the
spectrum of expertise coming into the oil and gas sector.
“They did not need to be petroleum engineers or even geologists. They
only needed to have the abilities to learn and come at different levels
into the entire spectrum of the downstream service sector of the oil and
gas.
“As you all know, it has been a great success and it is now being
repeated across other sectors of the economy.
“As we concentrate on increasing gas supply in tandem with the Ministry
of Power, the Central Bank of Nigeria and the National Electricity
Regulatory Commission, we will change the face of the economy in its
entirety.’’
According to her, government is simultaneously looking to ensure that
Nigeria has gas for industrialisation.
Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of the board, Mr Tony Elumelu, said
that the board was encouraged by the various policies put in place by the
Federal Government in its transformation agenda.
Elumelu said that with the policies in place in housing, power, ICT,
housing mortgage, oil and gas sectors, creating three million jobs would
not be difficult.
“Kenya created over 700,000 jobs within one year, what has encouraged
us to be part of it is the transformation initiatives of the Federal
Government.
“We are happy that we have the Minister of Petroleum Resources here
among us who has played a strong role in the transformation from the
point of view of indigenisation, bringing in Nigerian players in the oil and
gas sector.’’
Elumelu assured that the board would train Nigerians to ensure they
were employable.
Other members of the board include the Secretary to the Government of
the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, the ministers of agriculture, labour
and productivity, among others. (NAN)
OMG... Federal govt bans pomo
Tunji Adeyonfo
This might not come as good news to most
Nigerians as indication have emerged on
Tuesday that the federal government may have
concluded plans to ban the sale and
consumption of hides and skins known locally
in Nigeria as ponmo so as to boost the growth
of the livestock industry.
This much the Minister of Agriculture and Rural
Development, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina revealed
at the 3rd joint anniversary of Animal Science
Association of Nigeria (ASAN) and Nigeria
Institute of Animal Science held at the
University of Ibadan. He therefore called for
competent regulations that would check the
consumption and sale of the product.
The theme of the programme was entitled,
“Value Addition in the Nigerian Livestock
Industry: A strategy for Economic Growth and
Stakeholders Empowerment”.
If this is achieved, the minister noted that
livestock farmers would stand good chances of
making high dollar return if the hides and skins
are tanned into leather.
The minister who was represented at the
occasion by the Director, Animal Production
and Husbandry in the Ministry, Dr. Ademola
Raji, said, ”I also commend NIAS for its
advocacy and public enlightenment programs
on Radio and Television that promote value
addition in Livestock, as against sale and
consumption of primary products alone,
particularly with the issue of curtailing the
widespread consumption of hides and skins as
Kpomo which ought to be tanned into leather
for a very high dollar return to the farmer and
Tanneries.
I expect that competent regulations acceptable
by all stakeholders will be developed so as to
give credibility that our set standards for food
safety are being implemented which will boost
value addition.”
He said,”I am confident that the satisfactory
production levels achieved in the poultry and
swine segments will soon stretch to reach other
commodities such as beef, dairy, micro
livestock and animal by products such as
leather, bones, hides and skins.
NASA Finds Message From God on Mars
NASA announced today that its Curiosity Rover
has found an unambiguous message from God
written on tablets in a Martian cave.
According to an official press release two giant
stone slabs the size of small elephants were
located deep inside a cavern abutting Aeolis Mons,
a large mountain.
Upon one tablet is a copy of the Ten
Commandments and the text of John 3:16 written
in 12 languages - including English, Spanish,
Chinese, Basque and Hebrew. On the other tablet
is a simple message in English reading "I am real."
According to top scientists who have studied the
discovery extensively, these findings may have
definitively established Christianity as the one true
religion.
"This is amazing," says Syms Covington, an
Australian researcher working for NASA's Mars
Exploration Program. "We went into the cave
looking for water, and we found proof of God's
existence instead.
"I mean how else did those tablets get there? I
can tell you one thing: there's not a single atheist
inside NASA's control room now. What we saw
was jaw-dropping."
Genesis 1:1
NASA's Curiosity rover arrived on Mars in August
of last year with a mission to explore the Martian
climate and geology for signs for habitability.
Thus far the mission has been a success, with the
discovery of an ancient seabed and chemicals
needed for life suggesting that Mars was once
suitable for life.
However the tablets, both of which are signed
"Peace and Love - Yahweh," represent the rover's
most significant find to date, and is perhaps the
most important scientific event in history.
"When people find out about this, they will
demand change in our society," explains a
political scientist at Georgetown University.
"Democracy will have to give way to theocracy.
We're gonna have to build more churches and
reintroduce prayer into schools. Abortion is
defiantly going to be illegal within a few months."
Despite its potential significance, Covington fears
that the Earth-shattering discovery may not make
the impact it should.
"Unfortunately, the mainstream media is so anti-
Christian, they might not even pick up this story,"
he explains. "But God is real. We have proof. And
everyone deserves to hear the truth."
9 Things Successful People Won't Do
LinkedIn Influencer, Dr. Travis Bradberry , published this
post originally on LinkedIn.
My last post, How Successful People Stay Calm , really struck a
nerve (it's already approaching 1.5 million reads here on
LinkedIn). The trick is that managing your emotions is as much
about what you won’t do as it is about what you will do.
TalentSmart has tested more than a million people and found
that the upper echelons of top performance are filled with people
who are high in emotional intelligence (90% of top performers, to
be exact). So, I went back to the data to uncover the kinds of
things that emotionally intelligent people are careful to avoid in
order to keep themselves calm, content, and in control. They
consciously avoid these behaviors because they are tempting
and easy to fall into if one isn’t careful.
While the list that follows isn’t exhaustive, it presents nine key
things that you can avoid in order to increase your emotional
intelligence and performance.
1. They Won’t Let Anyone Limit Their Joy
When your sense of pleasure and satisfaction are derived from
comparing yourself to others, you are no longer the master of
your own happiness. When emotionally intelligent people feel
good about something that they’ve done, they won’t let anyone’s
opinions or accomplishments take that away from them.
While it’s impossible to turn off your reactions to what others
think of you, you don’t have to compare yourself to others, and
you can always take people’s opinions with a grain of salt. That
way, no matter what other people are thinking or doing, your
self-worth comes from within. Regardless of what people think
of you at any particular moment, one thing is certain—you’re
never as good or bad as they say you are.
2. They Won’t Forget
Emotionally intelligent people are quick to forgive, but that
doesn’t mean that they forget. Forgiveness requires letting go of
what’s happened so that you can move on. It doesn’t mean
you’ll give a wrongdoer another chance. Emotionally intelligent
people are unwilling to be bogged down unnecessarily by others’
mistakes, so they let them go quickly and are assertive in
protecting themselves from future harm.
3. They Won’t Die in the Fight
Emotionally intelligent people know how important it is to live to
fight another day. In conflict, unchecked emotion makes you dig
your heels in and fight the kind of battle that can leave you
severely damaged. When you read and respond to your
emotions, you’re able to choose your battles wisely and only
stand your ground when the time is right.
4. They Won’t Prioritize Perfection
Emotionally intelligent people won’t set perfection as their target
because they know it doesn’t exist. Human beings, by our very
nature, are fallible. When perfection is your goal, you’re always
left with a nagging sense of failure, and you end up spending
your time lamenting what you failed to accomplish and what you
should have done differently instead of enjoying what you were
able to achieve.

5. They Won’t Live in the Past
Failure can erode your self-confidence and make it hard to
believe you’ll achieve a better outcome in the future. Most of the
time, failure results from taking risks and trying to achieve
something that isn’t easy. Emotionally intelligent people know
that success lies in their ability to rise in the face of failure, and
they can’t do this when they’re living in the past. Anything worth
achieving is going to require you to take some risks, and you
can’t allow failure to stop you from believing in your ability to
succeed. When you live in the past, that is exactly what happens,
and your past becomes your present, preventing you from
moving forward.
6. They Won’t Dwell on Problems
Where you focus your attention determines your emotional state.
When you fixate on the problems that you’re facing, you create
and prolong negative emotions and stress, which hinders
performance. When you focus on actions to better yourself and
your circumstances, you create a sense of personal efficacy that
produces positive emotions and improves performance.
Emotionally intelligent people won’t dwell on problems because
they know they’re most effective when they focus on solutions.
7. They Won’t Hang Around Negative People
Complainers are bad news because they wallow in their
problems and fail to focus on solutions. They want people to join
their pity party so that they can feel better about themselves.
People often feel pressure to listen to complainers because they
don’t want to be seen as callous or rude, but there’s a fine line
between lending a sympathetic ear and getting sucked into their
negative emotional spiral. You can avoid getting drawn in only
by setting limits and distancing yourself when necessary. Think
of it this way: if a person were smoking, would you sit there all
afternoon inhaling the second-hand smoke? You’d distance
yourself, and you should do the same with complainers. A great
way to set limits is to ask complainers how they intend to fix a
problem. The complainer will then either quiet down or redirect
the conversation in a productive direction.

8. They Won’t Hold Grudges
The negative emotions that come with holding onto a grudge are
actually a stress response. Just thinking about the event
involved sends your body into fight-or-flight mode. When a
threat is imminent, this reaction is essential to your survival, but
when a threat is ancient history, holding onto that stress wreaks
havoc on your body and can have devastating health
consequences over time. In fact, researchers at Emory
University have shown that holding onto stress contributes to
high blood pressure and heart disease. Holding onto a grudge
means you’re holding onto stress, and emotionally intelligent
people know to avoid this at all costs. Learning to let go of a
grudge will not only make you feel better now but can also
improve your health.
9. They Won’t Say Yes Unless They Really Want To
Research conducted at the University of California in San
Francisco shows that the more difficulty that you have saying
no, the more likely you are to experience stress, burnout, and
even depression. Saying no is indeed a major challenge for most
people. “No” is a powerful word that you should not be afraid to
wield. When it’s time to say no, emotionally intelligent people
avoid phrases like “I don’t think I can” or “I’m not certain.”
Saying no to a new commitment honors your existing
commitments and gives you the opportunity to successfully
fulfill them.

So Crazy! Nigerian Guys, Would You Do This For Your Girlfriend? (See Photo)
A very possessive girlfriend made her boyfriend
wear this T-shirt as he holidays without her. The
couple, have been together for 6-years. The T-
shirt is covered with pictures of them together and
has an inscription that says,
"I love my girlfriend Abbie, I hate the girls in Ibiza,
so please stay away from me."
20 year old Abbie Bartlett, had the shirt custom-
made for her boyfriend, 24-year old Leon
Connolly, . She gave it to him as a surprise as he
was packing his bags to leave.
Pls continue after the cut
Pictures of Mr Connolly wearing the T-shirt were
then posted online and received quite a number of
attention, which left Miss Bartlett worried that the
t-shirt could have the opposite effect and attract
girls who 'liked a challenge'.
She said
'When I took it in to the printing shop and explained
what I wanted I swear they must have thought I
was a psycho.
Leon told North News,
At first I thought is she serious? She wanted me to
wear it to all the big clubs like Pacha etc.
'But now I get that it's a joke I'm happy enough to
go along with it, that's just how our relationship is
it's just silly. People have been saying that wearing
the t-shirt might attract girls, some girls will
definitely take it as some sort off challenge. I just
have to laugh about it, Abbie is the only girl for me

The 9 Best Real-World Strategies Every Entrepreneur Should Know
I sometimes troll popular business websites.
Don’t ask me why I do it to myself. It drives me
nuts to see all the mind-numbingly generic fluff
that passes for business advice these days.
It’s as if some evil genius sat down at the
drawing board and said, “How do I get half the
population to think they’re experts and the other
half to read everything they write?” So he made
cheap computers, smartphones, Web 2.0,
WordPress, blogs and social media. Voila. Here
we are.
Let's try something different. Let me show you
what real-world business strategies look like. You
know, ideas that get you thinking in new ways
that actually help you differentiate and beat the
competition. That’s right: if you want to be
successful you have to think. You have to
differentiate. And you have to beat the
competition.
Now let’s get down to business.
Create a cult-like culture of religious zealots.
Letting people bring dogs to the office is not a
corporate culture. Neither is a waterslide on the
premises or Friday beer blasts. The Green Bay
Packers. Harley-Davidson. Apple. Trader Joe’s.
Zappos. They’re all like religious cults. Getting
your people to believe they can accomplish
something insanely great and create an amazing
customer experience, that’s corporate culture.
Study what works and doesn’t work. We learn
from experience. We also learn from the
experience of others. That’s how all successful
executives and business leaders got that way. If
you have to read anything, read about real
successes and failures in the real business
world. Try Organizing Genius by Warren Bennis
or Business Adventures by John Brooks. It’s
Warren Buffett’s and Bill Gates’s favorite
business book for a reason.

Go where your competitors aren’t. How did
China-based Huawei take 7% market share from
Samsung in the hypercompetitive smartphone
market? By focusing on Africa, Latin America and
the Middle East. Apple in retail. Amazon, eBay and
Alibaba online. The Uber app. They all used new
sales channels or existing ones in innovative
ways.
Plan for success and develop competitive
barriers. Come up with a plan, put all you’ve got
behind it, then figure out what can go wrong,
including coming up with a strategy to keep bigger
and better funded competitors from beating you at
your own game. If you’re successful, that’s
exactly what will happen. If you’re not, it doesn’t
really matter, now does it? That’s why you
always plan for success.
Create a larger-than-life buzz. There once was a
startup that made microprocessors. Yawn. Then
they painted a bulls-eye on industry giant Intel.
They actually had a tombstone in the lobby with
“RIP” beneath the trademark Intel Inside swirl.
Now that was news. Everyone loves a David
versus Goliath story. If you’re creative you can
generate buzz on a shoestring budget, but it does
help to deliver a competitive product.

Turn Prospects Into Customers With These 8 Tips
Not all of your prospects are going to pass
through your automated sales funnel and
automatically convert into customers as you
intend. Sometimes it requires a little outside
assistance to get them to bite. Here are 8 tips to
help you close more sales.
1. Set a deadline. Establish a "no communication"
deadline to remove prospects from your funnel.
Example: “We have not heard from you in 30
days. While this will be our final communication,
feel free to contact us in the future if you are in
the position to move forward.”
Related: Getting the Sale Without Being a
Sleazeball
This will often get their attention -- and if it
doesn’t then it will prevent you from wasting any
more time and energy on a dead prospect.
2. Ask a question. When you ask a question it
requires your prospect to reply. Try something
along the lines of, “It has been over a week since
we have heard from you. Have you had a chance
to go over the materials and make a decision?”
This is a good way to apply the pressure while
also opening up the dialogue to discover questions
or concerns the prospect might have.
3. Put together a FAQ section on your website.
Address questions that your prospects might
have and make it easily accessible on your
website. Talk to your sales team and customer-
service representatives to source the most
frequently-asked questions. Check out this simple
FAQ for Netflix for some inspiration.
4. Mix some icebreakers into your email
marketing. Most of your prospects are also being
marketed to by your competition, so do something
to stand out from the bland and overly
promotional emails that are flooding their inboxes.
Mix in some fun facts about your company or
your local area. This can really get the attention
of your prospects, causing them to forget about
the other options.
5. Offer incentives. Who doesn't like free stuff?
Tossing in a free gift or offering a discount is
often a great way to convert sales. It doesn’t
have to be a significant discount or something
valuable. Many people simply can’t pass on
something for free.

From Getting Trashed
6. Return on investment reminder. If your product
or service has the potential to increase your
prospect’s ROI, make sure you remind them. You
are basically asking, “So, when are you ready to
increase your revenue?” Reminding them that you
have a solution that is going to make them more
money will often trigger the sale.
7. Quick follow-up. Often times a simple follow-
up email or phone call asking your prospects if
they have any additional questions will get them
back into purchase mode. This is a great way to
quickly convert them into a customer before too
much time passes.
All of the leads that my company generates
through our website are immediately contacted
and we also follow up with them a couple of days
later, offering to answer any questions that they
might have.
8. Ask for the sale. Simply asking for the sale is
not groundbreaking. It’s common sense, yet
many people don't do it. Ask your prospects if
they are ready to get started and watch how
many say “yes.” They became a prospect
because of their interest in what was being
offered. If you don’t ask for the sale, your
competition will.

turn your prospects into customers? Share your
experiences in the comments section below.

U.S. air marshal boarded flight to U.S. after syringe attack in Nigerian airport
An on-duty U.S. air marshal was attacked with
a syringe in Nigeria’s main airport Sunday, but
FBI officials said the syringe didn’t appear
to include deadly pathogens such as the Ebola
virus, the Associated Press reported.
The marshal boarded a United flight after the
attack in Lagos, landing in Houston and then
went to the hospital, the AP reported. A law
enforcement official told CNN that the marshal
“felt fine” during the 12-hour flight.
The FBI said in a statement that “out of an
abundance of caution” the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention conducted an on-site
screening of the marshal when he landed
Monday morning. “The victim did not exhibit
any signs of illness during the flight and was
transported to a hospital upon landing for
further testing,” the statement read. “None of
the testing conducted has indicated a danger to
other passengers.”
It’s still unclear what was in the syringe,
though. CDC’s initial testing was negative for
deadly infectious agents, including “any bad
stuff” such as Ebola, FBI spokesman Christos
Sinos told AP.
The World Health Organization
announced Tuesday that West Africa has more
than 4,000 confirmed, probable and suspected
cases of Ebola. The virus is mostly
concentrated in Liberia, Sierra Leone and
Guinea, with just 21 of those cases in
Nigeria. But officials in Nigeria are cautious
about the epidemic within their borders; this
week, the country’s health ministry announced
477 people in the oil city of Port Harcourt
are under surveillance for Ebola.

Popular Yoruba Actress Returns To Nigeria After Competing 5- Year Jail Term For drug trafficking In Dubai
Fast-risin g Yoruba actress, Temmy who has
spent the past 5 years in a Dubai prison for
drug trafficking has been released and is back
in Nigeria. The plumpy actress who rocked
many party scenes in Lagos before she was
caught in the web of drug trafficking by Dubai
authorities came back into the country last
week.
She arrived at Murtala Muhammed
International Airport Lagos into the waiting
hands of the father of her baby girl. We have
it on good authority that Temmy and her man
will soon be walking down the aisle. As you
read this, the actress has not indicated any
intention to return to movie location to
continue her career in acting.
About 5 years ago, news filtered in from the oil
rich United Arab Emirates State of Dubai that
Temmy had been jailed for 10 years for drug
trafficking.
Nothing was heard about her until a year later
when news broke that she has been delivered
of a baby girl while in prison. Sources who
know the high flying actress confirmed to us
that shortly before her arrest in Dubai, she was
seen around with a top baron in Dubai.
Having a baby, traditionally, is a thing of joy,
but for the beautiful Nigerian actress it’s a sad
tale to have her first baby in a gas chamber
and worst of it all, far from her fatherland,
Nigeria. A source revealed, “Nigerians in Dubai
have neglected Temmy like a bad habit for fear
of arrest. All her efforts to reach her close pals
in Dubai to come to her aid shortly after she
had the baby proved abortive as friends and
business associates have all avoided her like a
plague.”
Though, Temmy initially bagged a 21-year jail
term, her condition as a pregnant woman then,
was said to have them reduce it to 10 years. It
will be recalled that when Temmy was arrested
for drugs, she was not lucky enough when the
custodians of UAE law and constitution found
her wanting aside the drug issue.
Temmy, we learnt, had police cases of stealing
and forgery inside Dubai major markets and
had been warned severally never to return to
country again. But as fate would have it, she
was said to have used another forged name
and documents to enter Dubai while she was
trafficking drugs. Left with no choice of
curbing her excesses, the UAE authorities gave
her two options.
Firstly, to be amputated on her left arm and
right leg or face 21 years imprisonment. She
however fell for the latter.

is not known to have been investigated and cleared
of the weighty allegation against him.
In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary,
Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party wondered what
message President Jonathan was sending to his
compatriots and indeed to the international
community when he took Modu Sheriff along during
his visit to Chad Monday to confer with President
Idriss Deby on cooperation against terrorism.
‘’This action by President Jonathan confirms what
the APC has always believed: That the President
either knows more than he is willing to admit on the
issue of those who are behind the Boko Haram
insurgency or he is willing to sacrifice the battle
against terrorism on the altar of political
expediency. Either way, this action by the President
is the height of indiscretion at best, or a palpable
exhibition of callowness at worst.
‘’It also confirms our fears that Modu Sheriff was
planted as a mole in the APC by his friends in high
places, who are jittery about the birth of the party
and would do anything to destabilize it,’’ it said.
APC said the President could not pretend not to be
aware of a report sent home by Nigeria’s Defence
Adviser in Ndjamena, Chad, in 2011, detailing the
suspicious activities of Modu Sheriff in Chad
concerning alleged Boko Haram sponsorship and
asking the Federal Government to investigate him.
‘’If this is a joke, it is one joke taken too far,
especially at a time that Nigeria has been losing
territories after territories to Boko Haram; at a time
that the same Modu Sheriff has been fingered by
another source other than the Nigerian Defence
Adviser in Chad, and at a time that calls are being
made for an independent investigation into the
allegation that Modu Sheriff and former Army Chief
Azubuike Ihejirika are Boko Haram sponsors.
‘’Or could it be the case of it takes a thief to catch a
thief?’’
